Fuchu Furniture Museum

We received a request to create a new EC site for a store in Fuchu City, Hiroshima Prefecture, with approximately 10,000 pieces of furniture. After listening to the client, we decided that rather than increasing sales through the EC site, it would be possible to increase sales by attracting more customers to the store, so we switched our main objective to strategically attract customers to the store rather than building a website.

For more than 40 years, the company has been selling furniture exclusively through its stores, but they wanted to take on the challenge of direct sales, which they had wanted to do for many years but had never gotten around to it.

The main objective is to attract more customers to real stores.

We proposed to use the e-commerce site as one of the tools to attract customers to the store.

Focus on advertising and direct mail to attract store customers

After building a new e-commerce site, we focused on strategically attracting customers to the store by running web ads targeting local and medium-distance residents and sending DMs with information about popular Gabbeh events. The newly created e-commerce site became a place for customers to check out products before visiting the store, and a tool to encourage people who are specifically thinking about purchasing to visit the store.

Successfully use both paper and digital media

The store is being managed by making good use of paper media and digital tools, such as strategically sending direct mail to attract customers and starting to use LINE to respond to customers.

Store traffic & sales are on the rise!

With the e-commerce site at the core, advertising, direct mail, and careful customer service on line have been successful, attracting both customers and sales.

Creating fans to build closer relationships with customers

Each staff member's courteous and friendly customer service has many fans and many repeat customers. I hope to devise a plan to make that relationship even closer.
