Saito Twisted Yarn Corporation (Yorozu Yarn Shop)

A company in Tsuyama City, Okayama Prefecture, which has been developing and manufacturing yarn exclusively since its establishment in 1967, asked us to create an e-commerce site for their company using the IT introduction subsidy. In considering how to sell yarn as a commercial product, we proposed the construction of their own website as well as an existing mall-type store.

In addition to retail sales, the company was selling its products through mall-type stores (Rakuten Ichiba and amazon). After sales continued to increase due to the arrival of the sewing boom in the Corona disaster, when that momentum began to slow down, the company approached us about creating its own e-commerce site to continue that need.

Brush up on existing mall-based stores

The first thing we considered was cost-effectiveness. We were asked to build our own e-commerce site, but when we thought about how to sell "yarn" as a product, we thought that we should build our own site while keeping in mind the need to brush up our pages to further increase sales at our existing mall-type stores. Identify and express your company's strengths

In the construction of the company's e-commerce site, "Made in Japan" was used prominently as a keyword to convey the company's strengths, and the site was designed to show that it is a store directly operated by a local manufacturer with a long history. The content of these keywords was also used in mall stores such as the Rakuten market. We also designed and built the site so that its contents could be smoothly expanded horizontally to other stores in malls such as Rakuten Ichiba.

Gradually become able to operate from a strategic point of view

Until now, the EC staff had been operating based on their own senses, but they gradually learned to operate strategically by selecting photos, devising content, and so on.

Increase sales while attracting customers through advertising

Since the site opened, sales have increased steadily while attracting customers through advertising.

Creating content from the customer's perspective is a challenge.

We need to consider content from the customer's perspective in order to enhance the content of our own website. This will lead to the recognition of our own EC site. In addition, there is still a strong tendency to operate an EC business based solely on in-house knowledge, and I think it is necessary in the future to actively attend EC-related study sessions held in Osaka, Fukuoka, and other cities to regularly come into contact with the latest information.
